Give Your Floors the WOW Factor with Quick Shine!

WOWfactor

Are your floors looking dull and worn? Restore their brilliance with Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Finish or Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Luster! Both products feature a water-borne polymer formula that enhances and protects sealed hardwood, laminate, tile, stone, vinyl, and other hard surfaces with a rich, deep glow. Discover the WOW Factor with Quick Shine.

Follow these six simple steps for a flawless application and long-lasting shine.

Step 1: Start with a Clean, Dry Surface

Before applying Quick Shine®, ensure your floors are free of dust, dirt, and residues:

  • For light cleaning, damp mop with plain, cool tap water.
  • For deeper cleaning, use Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner or Quick Shine® High Traffic Hardwood Floor Cleaner.
  • Avoid using oil soap, pine oil, ammonia, vinegar, or all-purpose cleaners, as they leave residues that can cause hazing or streaking.

Step 2: Use a Dedicated Mop or Microfiber Pad

For the best results, apply Quick Shine® with a damp mop or microfiber pad:

  • Do not use the same mop you use for cleaning. Residue from cleaners can cause streaking and uneven application.
  • Apply using broad, even strokes—avoid scrubbing back and forth like when cleaning.

Step 3: Work in Sections for Even Coverage

Since the finish dries quickly, work in small sections to avoid streaks or uneven application:

  • Do not squirt the product across the entire floor at once.
  • Apply and spread immediately to ensure a smooth, consistent finish.

Step 4: Allow Proper Drying Time

Patience is key! For best results:

  • Let the finish dry completely for 45-60 minutes before walking on the floor or applying another coat.
  • Drying time may vary based on humidity and temperature.

Step 5: Apply Multiple Coats for a Rich Shine

For a deep, protective glow, we recommend applying 2-3 initial coats:

  • If you prefer an even higher shine, additional coats can be applied.
  • Always allow each coat to dry fully before adding another.

Step 6: Maintain the Shine with Regular Refreshing

To keep your floors looking like new:

  • High-traffic areas should be refreshed every 2-3 months.
  • Light-traffic areas should be refreshed every 4-6 months.
  • You can also freshen up only the high-traffic lanes as needed.

I used this product and it left uneven spots. Most of the floor looks amazing but I would like to have the floor look even. Should I try to remove the product that is there and start over or will a second coat even these spots out? Thanks!

Hi Stephanie! We recommend to spot treat the uneven areas. You can use our Quick Shine Deep Cleaner, or a mixture of ammonia and water solution for the spot treatment. Once dry, you may apply the floor finish over the areas for a fresh, even look! If you have additional questions, please feel free to call our Customer Service M-F at 1-800-255-1891 from 8am-4:30pm EST. Thank you!
