8B8A9749

Are you considering new flooring or looking to refresh your existing hardwood floors? As floor care experts, we can help you maintain a stunning, long-lasting shine with ease!

Achieve a Gorgeous Shine with Quick Shine® Hardwood Floor Luster

No matter what type of hardwood floors you have, Quick Shine® Hardwood Floor Luster enhances their beauty with a deep, rich glow. The application is simple—just squirt and spread for an instant transformation!

Preparing Your Floors for Quick Shine® Hardwood Floor Luster

For the best results, start with a clean, dry surface:

Dust and clean first – Use a microfiber mop pad dampened with plain, cool tap water to remove dust and debris before applying Floor Luster.
Choose the right cleaner – You can also use our natural hardwood floor cleaners with a white microfiber bonnet, sponge mop, or microfiber applicator for a thorough clean.

🚫 Avoid These Cleaners: Oil soap, pine oil, orange oil, ammonia, vinegar, and all-purpose cleaners can interfere with the film formation process, leaving sticky residues, haze, or an uneven surface.

Application Tips for a Streak-Free Finish

To achieve the best shine and avoid streaks, follow these steps:

Use a damp mop or microfiber pad – Rinse it with cool tap water and wring it out before applying.
Avoid cross-contamination – Never use the same mop or applicator that was used for cleaning, as residue can cause hazing and streaking.
Apply in broad, even strokes – Avoid back-and-forth motions, which can create streaks or haziness.
Allow proper drying time – Let it dry for 45-60 minutes, depending on humidity and temperature, before applying additional coats or allowing foot traffic.

Important: If the product does not fully cure before walking on it, footprints and smudges may appear.

Maintaining Your Floor’s Shine

Regular maintenance helps preserve the beauty of your floors:

Dry dust mop frequently – This removes dirt and debris that can dull the shine.
Use Quick Shine® Hardwood Floor Cleaner – Dampen a microfiber mop pad with the solution instead of pouring it directly onto the floor.
Avoid vinegar and ammonia – These can dull the shine over time and, in the case of ammonia, even remove the finish.

🚫 Many general-purpose cleaners may look fine when wet but can leave behind residues that cause hazing and footprints once dry. Always stick to Quick Shine® Cleaners for the best results.

How Often Should You Refresh Your Floors?

The durability of Quick Shine® Hardwood Floor Luster ensures long-lasting beauty, but refresh times depend on foot traffic:

High-traffic areas – Refresh every 2-3 months
Light-traffic areas – Refresh every 4-6 months
Spot refresh – You can also freshen only the high-traffic lanes instead of recoating the entire floor.

Compatible with All Hardwood Flooring Styles

With so many hardwood flooring options available—Distressed Wide Planks, Red Oak, Reclaimed Wood, Brazilian Cherry, and more—Quick Shine® Hardwood Floor Luster provides a rich, protective glow every time.

I applied lemon oil directly to my hardwood floors, how long does it take to dry. The floors are shiny and slippery.

          Hi Takisha,

It is not recommended to apply Lemon Oil to floors. If you floors are sealed, the Lemon Oil will not dry. You will need to wipe and rinse away the Lemon Oil. We recommend using Quick Shine Floor Finish for floors. For more information, please visit our website or contact customer service at 800-255-1891. We are always happy to help!

We applied Holloway House Floor Luster on our 3 year old dark stained Hickory wood floors. We waited several hours to put the furniture back and allow our dog to walk on the floors. After one day, the finish is showing smudge marks, footprints and paw prints. How do we get rid of the smudge marks and footprints? Will this continue to happen to our floors if we continue to use tis product?

      Hi Jan,

Quick Shine is designed to be extremely durable and should not show smudge marks or foot traffic. It is possible the finish had not fully cured although it was dry and moisture had absorbed into the finish. You can spot treat the affected areas or remove the finish completely and start fresh with Quick Shine Deep Cleaner. Simply dilute our Deep Cleaner with hot water and apply to small sections at a time. Allow solution to sit for 3-4 minutes and mop or wipe away. Quick Shine Deep Cleaner is only available online at this time at http://www.quickshine.net or http://www.walmart.com. For more information, please contact customer service at 800-255-1891. We are always happy to help!

Are your “Hardwood Floor Cleaners” safe to use on oil or wax finished flooring? (ie: hardwood floors that are very, very old — +100 yrs) I can’t seem to find specific details like this on your site.
