How to Use Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner Like a Pro

Why Use Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner?
Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner was specifically formulated to deep clean and safely remove our Quick Shine® Floor Finish, as well as other waxes and finishes—without damaging sealed hardwood floors, polyurethane seal, or other sealed hard floor surfaces.
Step-by-Step Guide to Using Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner
Follow these six simple steps to restore your floors:
1. Dilute the Deep Cleaner in HOT Water
Mix Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner in a bucket with hot water—the hotter, the better! Hot water increases the cleaner’s effectiveness for breaking down layers of finish. Small batches help keep the water hot!
2. Apply in Small Sections
Use a sponge mop or the Quick Shine® Hardwood Floor Mop to apply the solution. Work in small 5’x5’ sections to make removal and clean-up more manageable.
3. Let the Solution Sit (But Don’t Let It Dry!)
Allow the solution to sit for a few minutes to break down the finish. Caution: Do not let it dry on the floor—if it starts to dry, add a little warm water to keep the surface wet.
4. Watch for the Milky White Film
As the Quick Shine® Floor Finish lifts from your floor, it will turn into a milky white film. This indicates that the removal process is working!
5. Scrub Away the Finish
Use our microfiber scrubber pad to agitate the area. Elbow grease may be needed to remove stubborn dirt and multiple layers of finish.
6. Rinse and Repeat
Once the finish is removed, rinse the area with clean, warm water and allow it to dry before moving to the next section. Repeat steps 1-6 for the entire floor.
Extra Tips for Stubborn Build-Up
- For heavy layers of finish, a second treatment may be necessary.
- Increase dilution from 1 cup per gallon to 2-3 cups per gallon for a stronger cleaning solution.
- One bottle of Deep Cleaner makes 3.5 gallons (at 1 cup per gallon), covering up to 500 square feet.
Bring Back the Shine with Quick Shine® Floor Finish
Once your floors are completely dry, apply a fresh coat of Quick Shine® Floor Finish or Quick Shine® Hardwood Floor Luster to restore their shine. Your floors will look like new again!

I used Quick Shine on my dark hardwood floors after having some work done in my house. I think there must have been some dust still on the surface, because now there are horrible streaks. I applied Quick Shine Finish on my unsealed wood-look tile but slowly it seems like the color of the tile is coming off. I was told by the manufacturer of the wood-like tile to remove the Quick Shine Finish from the tiles. How can I remove the solution that is already in the tiles without affecting the wood-like design of the tiles?

Hi,
The previous owners always used quick shine on our hardwood floors, so there is likely a buildup. To protect the floors while moving in, I applied the stick-on floor protection film sold by Lowe’s and upon removal, it appears that the quick shine pulled off? I have large areas of dull floor where there is a distinct edge where the stick-on floor film stopped. I tried buffing and applying more quick shine to these areas and it its helping, but not completely fixing my problem. I do not think that the stick on film harmed the polyurethane on the floors. What do you recommend to restore my floors appearance in this situation??

Question to all… I use quickshine polish on my hardwood floors and I have been pleased with it over the years. Anyone have a suggestion as to which type of pad I could purchase to help put a more even shine on with?? I simply have been using a swiffer dry pad and I don’t think I am getting maximum result with it. thanks

I have spots where the QuickShine Luster has white spots. Somehow as I applied I agitated it and the wax lumped up. But its not everywhere. Can I use the Deep Clean to spot clean the wax and reapply Luster or do I need to remove from the entire floor and then reapply?

I used quick shine on my older vinyl kitchen floor. Looked amazing for a few days. With kids and dogs things got spilled or dribbled. Augh! It makes a mark and you cannot get rid of it. Now I’m desperately trying to get the quick shine product off floor. I will never use this product again.
