FAQ

Quick Shine® Floor Care products are designed to revive and maintain the beauty of your floors with ease. Like any household product, you may have some questions about their use. Today, we’re answering some of the most common Quick Shine® Floor Care FAQs from our customers.

Where Can I Find Quick Shine® Floor Finish or Hardwood Floor Luster?

Our Quick Shine® Floor Finish and Quick Shine® Hardwood Floor Luster are available at most major retailers, as well as select local stores. To find a retailer near you, visit our Store Locator for a complete list of locations.

How Do I Remove Floor Finish from My Table or Countertops?

Accidents happen! If Quick Shine® Floor Finish or Hardwood Floor Luster drips onto a table or countertop, even after drying, follow these steps for easy removal:

  • Spray Windex or Formula 409 directly onto the affected area.
  • Let it sit for about a minute.
  • Wipe it away with a damp cloth or sponge.

💡 Tip: This method also works if you accidentally get product on the base of your walls or appliances during application.

How Should I Clean My Floors After Applying Floor Finish?

For routine cleaning after applying Quick Shine® Floor Finish, we recommend:

  • Using Quick Shine® Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner with our Multi-Surface Spray Mop and microfiber pad.
  • Waiting 4-5 days before your first cleaning to allow the finish to fully cure.
  • Dust mopping during the first few days to keep floors free of dirt and debris.

Why Isn’t My Floor Shiny After Using Quick Shine® Floor Cleaner?

This is a common misunderstanding. Quick Shine® is our brand name, but the level of shine depends on the product you use:

Why Does My Floor Look Streaky or Cloudy After Applying Floor Finish?

Streaking or cloudiness can result from a few common mistakes. Here’s what might have happened and how to fix it:

1. Not Enough Product Was Applied

  • Solution: Apply an additional coat to even out the finish.

2. Residue Was Left on the Floor Before Application

  • Other floor cleaning products or vinegar solutions may leave behind a residue.
  • Solution: Use Quick Shine® Deep Cleaner to remove buildup before applying Floor Finish.

3. The Same Mop Pad Was Used for Cleaning and Applying Finish

  • Residue from cleaning solutions can transfer to the finish.
  • Solution: Always use a clean, dry, and dedicated microfiber pad for applying Floor Finish.

4. Insufficient Drying Time Between Coats

  • Applying a second coat too soon can cause streaks or cloudiness.
  • Solution: Allow each coat to fully dry before applying another.

5. Too Many Coats Applied Too Quickly

  • Overapplying the product can lead to a hazy appearance.
  • Solution: Apply thin, even layers and let each coat dry completely.
