The Problem with One-Step Cleaners

blog the problem with one step cleaners

We all want quick and easy when it comes to cleaning. Our time is valuable and we don’t want to spend all day cleaning. So when we see products on store shelves that promise one-step cleaning and polishing, we jump at the idea. Here is the problem with that: It’s just not accurate.

As floor care experts, we pride ourselves with in house lab testing to assure we only offer the best products for our consumers. We have tested this theory of All-In-One and although Floor Polishes can provide some cleaning, they will not remove all surface soil, therefore you are actually polishing over dirt. It’s true! You are actually trapping the dirt between layers of finish. We tested Quick Shine and another leading competitor to see if both products clean and shine. While they both provide a level of cleaning and both leave a protective shine, unless you are rinsing your mop after every pass over the floor, you could be pushing dirt around which will get embedded into the shine. Once dry, you may notice hazing, darkening, or spotting from stuck-on particles and dirt.

This is why Quick Shine offers an entire line of floor care products. We have pH-neutral cleaners that clean away dirt and bacteria while providing a streak-free, zero-residue surface prepping your floors for that WOW Factor we have been known for, for over 55 years.

Speaking of cleaners, many promises a clean floor, however, they are loaded with surfactants or harsh chemicals that can dull floors over time. Our ready-to-use formulas do not contain any harsh chemicals like alcohol, ammonia, formaldehyde, or parabens.

So the next time you debate on the best product to buy for quick and easy cleaning, reach for Quick Shine Finishes and Cleaners! It’s like a new floor in a bottle!

This blog delivers many informative articles and this is one of the best. All-in-One when it comes to hardwood floors is a myth. I tried the plant-based Quick Shine Hardwood Floor Luster after dry dusting the floor as there was not heavy soil and did not need a damp cleaning. The results were nothing short of amazing. The product brought back the color, glow and beauty of this historic hardwood. You are the best! Thank you Quick Shine!

With another cleaning product; The mop gets clogged after a couple of uses. Is there a good way to keep that happening with your mop. This is my first time using your product.

Hi Brenda, it is important that you only use cleaners in spray mops. Floor polishes are not designed for spray mops as they can clog. When applying our Finish, simply squirt the bottle directly on the floor and spread with a clean damp mop pad. Rinse pad immediately after use.
