To polish your wood floors at home using Quick Shine Floor Finish, follow these simple steps:
- Clean the Floor: Start by thoroughly cleaning your floor with Quick Shine Hardwood Floor Cleaner to remove dirt, dust, and residue. Make sure the surface is completely dry before applying polish.
- Prepare the Area: Move any furniture out of the way and sweep or vacuum to ensure the floor is free of debris.
- Apply Quick Shine Floor Finish:
- Squirt or Pour a small amount of the product directly onto the floor in an “S” pattern.
- Use a damp microfiber mop to evenly spread the polish in the direction of the wood grain. Avoid over-applying.
- Let It Dry: Allow the floor to dry completely, usually within 45 minutes. For best results, avoid walking on the floor until it’s fully dry.
- Reapply (Optional): For extra shine or protection, apply a second coat after the first has dried.
Quick Shine Floor Finish is designed to provide long-lasting protection and shine. The durability of the polish depends on foot traffic, cleaning habits, and the type of flooring. Under normal conditions, the finish can last 2 to 6 months before requiring a touch-up or reapplication. High-traffic areas may need more frequent maintenance, while lower-traffic spaces may maintain their shine for longer. Regular cleaning with Quick Shine Floor Cleaners will help extend the life of the polish.
